Iron Dominion

Iron Dominion is all about logistics. You're not just spamming units, you're keeping fuel and ore flowing to the front while the map slowly opens up. It's more thoughtful than most mobile strategy games, and it doesn't nag you with constant notifications.

Each match on the campaign takes real thinking. We lost our first three attempts at the third mission simply because we outran our own supply lines. Once we learned to consolidate before pushing, everything opened up.

The pacing can be slow for players who want instant action, but for anyone who likes chewing on a problem, it's excellent. The interface scales well to tablets, which is where we'd recommend playing it.
