Luxora

★★★★★ 4.7 Editor rating

Luxora surprised the whole team. It's a slow, thoughtful adventure where you play a mapmaker sailing between small islands, sketching what you find and slowly piecing together why the region was abandoned. The tap-and-drag controls are gentle and forgiving, which matters because you spend a lot of time steering a little boat between hazards.

Movement is handled with a single thumb, and you rotate the map by pinching. What impressed us most is how the game respects your attention. There are no timers pushing you along, no counters flashing. You explore, you observe, and the story reveals itself through notes you pick up and short conversations with lighthouse keepers.

We finished the main route in around eight hours and immediately went back for the optional islands we'd skipped. It runs smoothly even on older phones, and the art holds up beautifully whether you play in short bursts or long sessions.
