Why your Iron Dominion campaigns keep collapsing
Most losses in Iron Dominion aren't combat losses, they're logistics failures. You push too far, your front units run dry, and the enemy walks right through. We lost the same mission three times before this sank in.
The trick is to advance in stages. Secure a resource node, build a depot near it, then push. It feels slow, but a supplied army beats a fast one that's out of fuel every single time.
Watch your ore-to-fuel ratio. It's easy to over-invest in one and stall out. We keep a rough mental split and adjust based on the map's resource layout.
Defensive missions are actually easier than they look once you stop trying to hold every tile. Let the enemy overextend into your supply zone, then counter. Turning their logistics against them is deeply satisfying.
Play it on a tablet if you can. The extra screen space makes managing routes far less fiddly.
